With over eleven years of experience in the special events industry, Emmy has planned, organized, and managed hundreds of events. In 2011, after her daughter was born, Emmy decided it was time to make some changes, and she ventured out on her own to start EWhitney Events. Emmy has always had an affinity for special events and weddings, and she has been involved with numerous non-profits for many years. With strong organizational skills, a kind heart, and a passion for events, Emmy has proven herself as a successful planner and entrepreneur.

One of Emmy’s strengths is taking a chaotic or stressful situation and giving it structure, organization, and a master plan – all with a positive attitude and a sense of calm. Her creativity and quick thinking have helped her along the way, and her experience with non-profits has helped her become a keen budget-watcher for clients.

Emmy is a graduate of Boston College with a double major in communications and psychology and a minor in French. She also served on the Board of Directors for Dress for Success Boston for many years.

Emmy is also very involved in the local community. She is a Fundraising Co-Chair on the Board at her son’s preschool and is Co-Chair for Public Events on the Board of the Acton-Boxborough Family Network. When she is not busy planning, Emmy spends her time at home with her two kids.
