EWhitney Events offers a full range of special event planning services for non-profit galas and fundraisers, weddings, and many other special occasions.
With over fourteen years of experience in the special events industry, Emmy has planned, organized, and managed thousands of events. After six years of working at a premier event management company, Emmy decided it was time to make a change and she ventured out on her own to start EWhitney Events LLC. With a strong background in non-profit fundraising events, Emmy expanded her services to include special events and weddings. With strong organizational skills, a kind heart, and a passion for events, Emmy has proven herself as a successful planner and entrepreneur.
One of Emmy’s strengths is taking a chaotic or stressful situation and giving it structure, organization, and a master plan – all with a positive attitude and a sense of calm. Her creativity and quick thinking have helped her along the way, and her experience with non-profits has helped her become a keen budget-watcher for clients.
Emmy graduated from Boston College with a double major in communications and psychology and a minor in French. She also served for many years on the Board of Directors for Dress for Success Boston.
In addition to planning events for clients, Emmy is also very involved in the local community. She is an Auction Co-Chair at her children’s school and is the former Co-Chair for Public Events on the Board of the Acton Boxborough Family Network. When she is not busy planning, Emmy enjoys yoga, traveling, and spending time at home with her husband and two kids.
